Out of Darkness by Boo Knits

Challenge 2013: knitting with beads is now complete :)

I really enjoyed everything about this project, the pattern choosing, the bead acquisition, the casting on, the knitting, the beads, the completed shawl and the photo shoots!

The encouragement from the crafts from the cwtch pickabooKAL to get started was just what I needed to begin this fairly complicated knit.

These pictures were taken down by the weir at Harvington, from the Offenham side last night by my lovely (and patient) husband, James.

The pattern is: Out of Darkness by Boo Knits

The yarn is: Garnstudio DROPS Lace which I brought from the wool warehouse when they were having a sale (and I brought some yarn for my mum at the same time for her Birthday and it arrived the next day).

The beads (after much waiting caused by the cat) came from the bead merchant.

Multiple needles were required, 4, 4.5 and 5mm, I used my interchangeable knit pros :) I also needed a tiny crochet hook (0.6mm) which I found when we went to Loughborough, I was really worried that I’d have to buy one on line and pay ridiculous p&p on a cheap item but luckily there was 1 hook waiting for me in Loughborough!

Now I just need a really special occasion to wear it :D
